BLACK AND GREY SURREALISM IN MANCHESTER & CHESTER

I've been tattooing for over a decade, working across England, Europe, and Scandinavia — always learning, always refining.

My work lives in black and grey surrealism;

large-scale pieces built around your body, not just placed on it.

Every design starts with your anatomy and ends somewhere between film photography, philosophy, and the darker edges of the human condition.

I don't do generic — if you're sitting in my chair, we're making something that's genuinely yours.

The Work

I work on trying not only to make the concept unique but making the composition flow naturally to the body. To be able to achieve this my clients for the most part are very open. Even if a client has a specific direction, as long as I'm left with the design I will make it a one off piece of art, or at least try to make it stand out.

Regardless of meaning, tattoos are aesthetics - it needs to look good.

A person getting a common tattoo is boring, get something unique! Having it flow to your body will forever keep that structure and elegance.

  • What style do you work in?

    Black and grey surrealism. Large-scale pieces shaped around the body's anatomy —

    animals, figures, and imagery drawn from film photography and the philosophy of

    the human condition.

  • How do I book?

    Email connorconstance@icloud.com with your idea, placement, and rough size.

    Keep it open — the more freedom given, the stronger the outcome.

  • Do you do consultations?

    Sometimes. Many bookings are straightforward enough to go straight to appointment.

    For larger or more involved pieces, a consultation will be arranged.

  • How far in advance should I book?

    Availability varies. Reach out and I will confirm current wait times.

    As a guide, expect a few months lead time for larger pieces.

  • Is a deposit required?

    Yes. £100 per booked day, paid to secure your appointment. Non-refundable.

  • What do you need from me?

    An open mind. The best results come from clients who trust the artist

    and give room to work. A rough idea of placement and scale is enough to start.

  • Where are you based?

    I work from two studios: @northofwinter in Manchester and

    @bridgestreettattoo in Chester.
